Such an amazing place to be! The people there are incredibly nice and I really love their weekend workshop concept. My wife and I took ceramics 1 and 2, Saturday and Sunday two weekends in a row). Very well equipped also, totally worth the drive from Cypress. We'll keep taking classes for sure :)
The leadership is great. They taught 6 Memorial High School children during summer to build drones for free. The instructor Mike Reynold is awesome. Those boys have since been able to modify the drones to handle autonomous flight. Great job
Went for a tour. The guy said "you came at a bad night because I suck at this" everyone laughed but soon discovered he wasn't kidding, he royally sucked. He was rude, arrogant and impatient. His answers to any question were judgmental and demeaning. When I asked him and 2 other instructors what medium I should apply to accomplish my project they all told me to enroll in a class and talk to the instructor. So in other words find out you were wrong in choosing the application you "guessed" would give you the results you need after you pay full price for them to prove you're ignorant. What a shameful waste of what could be an awesome vehicle for creative people looking to connect with experienced and helpful people...so sad
A building full or rude anti-social people and tools that don't work. Pretty negative place to be, don't expect to learn anything useful. people usually walk out half way through classes. The president Roland i a piece of work. The cost to get going there is way too high, your better off hiring someone or getting your own tools to do your project, which is sad would be nice if it was run better and had working equipment.
Sad. Brought my Dad along for an open house on Father's Day since they advertise an open house every Sunday. My Dad is a tool fanatic and started me on power tools as a toddler. We were both so excited.
No open house. No sign announcing no open house. Had to wander in and members present didn't even want to say hello. Just left. Not kind.
