I was introduced to this treasure by my son. Whether you are looking for creative inspiration, or just a quiet, peaceful and stress free environment to collect your thoughts this is the place to be. It has excellent internet, comfortable seating and ample work spaces. Atmosphere can make a big difference when working on a project, searching within yourself or seeking to connect with your creative juices. 1961 has that feel, that aura of serenity coupled with a vibrant intellectual current that awakens and encourages productive thinking. You will be glad you stopped in. The coffee is good, too.

I've tried all the coworking spaces and cafes in Siem Reap since I live here. This one is the best so far. Comfortable chairs, desks, good internet. Really helpful staff. It's got an attached art gallery so the space is really inspiring. It's also away from the rocking "pub street" so you don't have all the noise and chaos and can actually get work done. They also have regular community events. As a professional "digital nomad", I really appreciate it.

1961 coworking space is my favorite so far. The internet was fast and stable. Even though the power was out for a few minutes when I was there, internet was still working fine and kept me connected in my call. It was very spacious with A/C all the time, comfortable chairs and tables, friendly and helpful staff. What I liked the most was the surrounding art works they had, which made the space quite unique. Anyway, check it out by yourself to get what I mean.

I decided to spend an evening here as I had some important internet meetings and figured 1961 must have the best wifi in town. I paid the $10 daily fee + $2 for a lukewarm brewed coffee I served myself. After an hour, the power went out for about 15 minutes. My wifi ended. While they claimed to have a backup generator for wifi the speed was 0.33mbps and unable to reconnect my video meeting...not good. Before that, the wifi was OK, wavering between 3mbps and 20mbps. I usually work at Footprint Cafe with 12mbps unwavering and no power outages. Could be lunch, dinner and coffee for the $12 I wasted at 1961. I guess these coworking spaces are the cool thing now, but I just don't get it. Probably the worst place I set up shop in Siem Reap over my two weeks there and essentially a $12 coffee with a power outage. A refund should have been given to me immediately.

Been there for a small workshop. Nice small place. Great concept.
