I've been a member with the Office Junction for over a year now, and it's been a very good experience.
As a freelance translator, I had trouble with working from home, both in productivity and the isolation, and I find that I am much happier when I leave the house. The Office Junction is a friendly space to get work done (either in a quiet room, or a communal space), and the location is great. The owners are helpful and responsive, and they put together fun communal events for members. The increased productivity and services offered have made the investment worth it!
Great concept and space. Great people. I highly recommend it. If you're curious, just go check out the space and talk to some of the people there to find out more of what is all about, what opportunities are there, and how it can help you with your endeavors.
I've worked at Office Junction for 1.5 years and am very happy there. The features and benefits are many:
- location is great, near C Line, lunch places, and Thriftway supermarket
- facility is wonderful: clean, quiet, friendly people, fully-equipped kitchen, fast Internet, good printers, bright airy place with lots of windows
- always "open" if you have deadline work like me and need to crank out a deliverable over the weekend or late at night
I'm on the Fixed Desk plan and am there daily, except when traveling for work. The cost is easily justified, because I'm way more productive than I would be at home. As an independent contractor, I need to bill hours, and have a busy family life at home, so I'm generally pretty "heads-down" while there, and not as social as I'd otherwise be. But the place is definitely friendly, while still being focused on work.
I also like that people are doing so many different things there, i.e., there *is* a world outside software development.
I highly recommend it.
Office Junction is great because I’ll complete in four hours what would take
two days at home. Also, I enjoy the impromptu conversations that occur
throughout the day. Oh, and lunch - there are other people around for
lunch – after ten years of working from home, that’s a revelation.
Great co-working space with separate quiet and collaborative spaces, dedicated desk rentals, several phone rooms, a conference room, and a kitchenette.
